Lamp-Hope
Lighting the Lamp of Hope from Your Stories and Memories

The story of *Twenty-Four Eyes* revolves around a teacher who kindles a small flame of hope in the eyes of the village children. Inspired by this tale, we named our project *Lamp Hope*. Just like a small lamp that shines even in the darkest of times, we aim to turn the cherished memories engraved in your heart into small beacons of hope.

We have embarked on a project to capture your precious items in photographs, preserving your treasured memories for the future. Whether it’s a well-worn wallet, a hat you’ve worn countless times, an old diary, a watch passed down from your grandparents, or a childhood stuffed animal—let us help you preserve the memories these items hold.

This Project Offers More Than Just a Photograph

As *LampHope Gifters*, we listen closely to the stories behind your cherished items and capture the emotions you feel, transforming them into a gift that shines with new light. Through this, your treasured memories will gain a new radiance, becoming a *Lamp of Hope* that connects the past with the future.

Why We Chose Haikara-ya at *Twenty-Four Eyes* to Host *Lamp Hope*

In the film *Twenty-Four Eyes*, the teacher’s arrival in Western clothing, riding a bicycle, symbolizes modernity in an era that evokes nostalgia. The students affectionately called her their “Haikara Teacher,” but she was more than just a teacher; she was a source of comfort and joy, sharing in the daily lives of her students. Her presence brought a small yet vital flame of hope into the lives of those children during difficult times.

*Haikara-ya* captures the essence of the small connections and sparks of hope that the Haikara Teacher kindled in the children’s eyes. Our goal is to prevent your cherished memories from fading, weaving them into your modern life as small hopes that revive your most precious emotions. *Lamp Hope* is a project at Haikara-ya that helps you rediscover your story and connect it to the future.

What You Will Gain from Lamp Hope

Many visitors stop by Shodoshima on their travels. Instead of merely passing through, why not revisit your old memories and transform them into a *Lamp of Hope*? We aim to offer a *Gift* that connects the past, present, and future through the small connections made during your journey.
